In a tragic incident, a small plane crash took place in St. Lucie County, Florida. The reports indicate that the crash occurred southwest from Fort Pierce, near the intersection of Orange Avenue and Sneed Road at around noon.
St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken Mascara revealed that the incident involved a Piper PA-28-161 airplane and led to the loss of one person’s life.
After arriving from St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office deputies as well as St. Lucie County Fire District officials at the site of the crash The wreckage was located in the vicinity of what was believed to be an air hangar.
Two individuals were found in the plane, and unfortunately, one was declared dead at the scene. The other was swiftly taken to an area hospital to receive medical treatment.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) took over investigating the cause of the accident.
